About This Game
Final Fantasy VII Reunion is an action role-playing game that tells the story of Zack Fair, a young SOLDIER working for the Shinra Electric Power Company. Set before the events of Final Fantasy VII, the game explores Zack’s journey, his relationships with important characters, and the events that eventually connect to the original story.
Players take control of Zack as he completes missions and battles enemies across different locations. The combat system combines real-time movement and attacks with abilities that can be selected during battles. Players can switch between different commands, use magic, and perform special attacks while managing their resources during difficult encounters.
One of the game’s important features is the Digital Mind Wave system, which can trigger special effects and abilities during combat. This system adds an element of unpredictability to battles while also connecting gameplay with Zack’s memories and experiences.
As the story progresses, Zack meets several familiar characters from the Final Fantasy VII universe, including Cloud Strife, Sephiroth, and Aerith Gainsborough. These relationships help build the emotional side of the adventure and provide additional context for events that take place later in the series.
The Reunion version also features updated graphics, improved character models, newly recorded voice performances, and a refined battle system. These changes give the original game a more modern presentation while keeping the main story and structure intact.
Players can also take on optional missions that provide additional battles, rewards, and challenges outside the main storyline. Completing these missions can help Zack obtain stronger equipment and abilities.
Overall, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion combines fast-paced combat with a story focused on friendship, ambition, and sacrifice. Its connection to the wider Final Fantasy VII universe makes it especially interesting for fans, while its action-based gameplay gives players plenty to do beyond the main story.
